This is a rare overcoat belonged to an officer of the élite unit of the Wehrmacht, the "Grossdeutschland" Division.

Coat is made in field-grey wool and dated 1941 and is complete with all its insigna, shoulder board with cyphers and cufftitle. All them have a matching patina. They look to be perfectly machine period applied.

Shoulder boards are sewn into the shoulders, they mount the gilted metallic cypher "GD". Under it is well visible a neat shadow.

A great piece of history.
