WAFFEN-SS M36 COMBAT TUNIC

SOLD!

Combat SS M36 tunic belonged to a Enlisted Man (EM), with the rank of SS-Sturmann, of the famous 1 SS-VT Regiment "Deutschland".

Insigna are ALL wartime applied, collar tabs, early VT eagle and remnants of the RZM cufftitle are all machine sewn to the jacket, and there are no traces of other insigna. The rank chevron on the left sleeve is hand applied. Shoulder straps are missing.

This is a screaming real combat tunic, with an amazing patina.

Tunic shows a lot of wear, it is missing the right chest pocket, possibly lost in combat, has some worn down areas here and there due to heavy usage, and remnants of the cufftitle are still attached to the left sleeve. Originally the cufftitle was sewn to the sleeve with the ends going inside the sleeve. The shadow let by the cufftitle is still visible on the sleeve.

The SS collar tab had the number "1" of the Detuschland Regiment that was removed as per regulation introduced during the war, when SS-VT numbered insigna were no longer accepted.

Tunic is fully lined with grey/brown ribbed cotton and the cut of the lining is typical SS.

Shadows of the missing pocket and of the removed cufftitle are well visible.

An extremely rare and wonderful pice of history, a screaming, untouched, real combat SS tunic.
