Rare piece of history: an envelope sent from Himmler to Karl Wolff.
Envelope address in Himmler's hand: 'SS-Gruppenfuhrer Karl Wolff Berlin 11 Gestege' with Himmler's return address in Wiesbaden on verso.
Everything is written by hand by Himmler himself.
An important, historical piece.
HEINRICH HIMMLER (1900 - 1945) was Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nuremburg.
KARL WOLFF (1906-1975) was colonel-general in the Waffen-SS, liaison officer for Himmler with Hitler, and German military governor of Northern Italy.
