"EREL" WEHRMACHT/HEER INFANTRY EM/NCO VISOR CAP

Fine quality "EREL" field-grey wool and rayon blend construction visor cap with a subtle whipcord weave, a blue/green badge cloth centerband and white wool waffenfarbe piping to the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the centerband.
The internal crown stiffening wire and an internal vertical stiffener to the front center are both intact and give the cap a nice shape. The front center of the cap features a second pattern, stamped, aluminum national eagle. The front center of the centerband has a aluminium oak-leaf wreath encompassing a three piece national tri-color cockade.
The cap has a officer silver twisted aluminium chin cord which is secured in place by two, small, silvered alloy buttons. The cap has a black lacquered vulcanfibre visor.
The interior of the cap is fully lined in golden/tan rayon. The crown lining had a clear celluloid sweat diamond where the maker mark logo is still visible. The sweatband is still originally stitched in place and it is soft, it only shows a couple of small cracks and it has impressed the "EREL" maker logo.
The visor remains in overall very good condition with minimal age and usage toning. The cap is roughly size 57.
