SS POLIZEI REGIMENT 14 OFFICER TUNIC

Wonderful and scarce factory produced Polizei field tunic for an officer with the rank of Hauptmann der Polizei (or Hauptsturmführer with SS ranks). Jacket is made in fine Trikot with the Polizei green color.
Collar tabs are machine stitched to the tunic collar, while arm bullion made egle and Old Guard Honor Chevron are hand stitched to the tunic. Shoulder boards are the correct type for officer with two rank pips and show the metllic cyphers "14" indicating the SS-Polizei-Regiment 14, a Polizei Regiment that fought on Eastern front and was destroyed near Kharkov, then rebuilt and sent on Balkans and Italy where took part in anti-partisans operations.
Tunic is fully lined with dark grey ribbed cotton/rayon and still has the original aiguilettes used for parade purposes; overall condition is excellent, tunic only shows some minor usage signs here and there.
On the left breast pocket there are a set of loops for two badges and another set over the pocket for a long ribbon clasp. A KVK 2nd class ribbon is hand sewn on the second buttonhole.
Under the left breast pocket are still sewn the SS Runes that indicate the full membership in the SS. The jacket has a lovely patina.
This type of tunic was the first type worn by active officers and NCOs when they arived for duty with the division or the Regiment.
