GEBIRGSJAEGER LIGHTWEIGHT TUNIC "DK" WINNER

Lightweight field service blouse, or summer tunic, for a Gebigrgsjaeger Officer with the rank of Oberst.
Tunic is constructed of a green colored cotton duck, with a dark green badge cloth stand and fall collar, four pleated patch pockets with pronounced points to the pleats, having a five buttons front and turn back cuffs, the buttons are officer quality painted pebbled steel with finished backs.
The collar has two sets of brass hook and eye, insignia includes a hand made bullion eagle and bullion officer collar tabs, both hand sewn into place with cotton thread.
A matched pair of shoulder boards are sewn into the shoulder fabric, the boards have the classic type of felt piping. On the right arm there is a hand made, of chord on a wool base, Edelweiss that is hand sewn to the sleeve.
On the left pocket there are 3 sets of loops + 1 set above the pocket, so there are loops for 4 combat awards; on the right packet we fond a set of 3 loops for the Deutsche Kreuz in Gold (German Cross in Gold).
The armpits are reinforced with round pieces of cotton/rayon.
Tunic shows wear, some age yellowing and some stains, but is undamaged.
A scarce tunic to find on market, especially for a hight decorated Gerbirgsjaeger officer.
