FELDERRNHALLE M44 TUNIC

SOLD!

Very rare, untouched "Felderrnhalle" M44 tunic for a Unteroffizier (non-commissioned officer).

Field-grey, late war wool/cotton blend construction field blouse with a lay down collar features a vertical, six button front closure.

The field blouse has two, non-pleated, front pockets with straight edged button down flaps. 1 set of original award loops to the left breast pocket. The right breast has a machine woven, late war pattern, national eagle in matte grey rayon threads on a woven, green rayon base. A previous ghost sewing is visible on the lining, but it seems don't match with a 44 type eagle; anyway is it possible the eagle could at some point be replaced. Late pattern collar tabs.

"Felderrnhalle" Bevo cufftitle to the lower right sleeve is original to the jacket, machine sewn to it. Moving a little the cufftitle is well visible the dark shadow on the sleeve wool under it.

Shoulder straps, late war type, have a pair of zinc "Felderrnhalle" cyphers, drilled and hand sewn on them, originally attached and with a very neat shadow under them. Piping is green for Panzergrenadier unit.

Internal cotton lining is complete, and markings are faded but still a little visible.

Minor usage, with a lovely great patina all over the tunic. A worn but extremely nice uniform.

A very rare, impressive, NCO combat "Felderrnhalle" tunic.
