Two piece, die struck zinc alloy, solid backed award is in the form of a vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with separate Luftwaffe eagle superimposed to the top, encompassing a burnished matte grey washed cloud and black lightning bolt and ground. Finish is still partially present and the badge has a very great patina.
It is complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly.
Badge shows the typical rivet of the late war examples, when no overlay eagle was added and the connection hole is coered with a rivet. The reason for this omission was most likely material saving or shortage.
The reverse is unmarked but the badge is a "Juncker" production.
