LW GROUND ASSAULT BADGE "JUNCKER"

Two piece, die struck zinc alloy, solid backed award is in the form of a vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with separate Luftwaffe eagle superimposed to the top, encompassing a burnished matte grey washed cloud and balck lightning bolt and ground. Finish is still almost complete and with a very great patina.
Complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly.
Eagle is in Buntmetall and fixed to the badge with a rivit.
The reverse is unmarked but the badge is a "Juncker" production.
Very interesting is the catch used: a very rare variation encountered on Juncker badges.
