Two piece, die struck zinc alloy construction badge with gilted and silver washed finishes attributed to the maker Friedrich Linden of Ludenscheid.
Finish is almost complete, very rare to see a badge with a finish like this; an extremely well preserved one.
The badge is in the form of a vertically oval, oak-leaf wreath with a small Wehrmacht style eagle with down swept wings, clutching a canted, swastika in it talons, superimpose to the top center, encompassing a stylized diving eagle. The stylized diving eagle shows nice detailing including spread talons.
The eagle is attached to the wreath by two, small, dome headed rivets which are visible to the reverse.
The reverse of the wreath has hinge, pin and catch all intact.
Amazing badge, hard to find in such beautiful condition.
