"FLL" BRONZE CLOSE COMBAT CLASP

SOLD!

Bronze Close Combat Clasp by the famous maker "FLL" (Friedrich Linden) of Ludenscheid.

It is constructed out of a die struck, zinc-alloy base that has been bronze washed. The obverse depicts a crossed model 24 grenade and K98 bayonet with oak leaves, acorns and lined rays all beneath a Heer open winged eagle clutching a swastika in its talons. The reverse of the badge correctly displays; the "F.E.C. W.E. Peekhaus Berlin" (left) and "FLL" (right) embossed maker marks.

It has the correct tombak crimped catch, hinge and sturdy coke bottle pin. The pin, hinge and catch all work well. The plate is steel and magnetic. Hardware and plate both shows silver finish.

The badge depicts beautiful details throughout and the bronze finish is entirely gone.

An nice example.
