A quality and rare set of the 1924 Stahlhelm badge.

The badge is constructed out of a die struck silver base and contains black enamel and black paint work, under a lacquered finish. The round shaped obverse features a silvered M16 style helmet that is marked, in black, with an Iron Cross and "Stahlhelm" in gothic script, above two silvered crossed oak leaves and "1924". This all lies on a black base which is surrounded by a thin silvered border. The reverse is marked (embossed) "STH" and "Ges. Gesch.", along with (in black) "VI. Ns. 655." and "25.2.24.". It also shows a soldered on round plate round wire catch, soldered on pad foot sheet metal hinge and coke bottle pin. The enamel work is in beautiful condition 100%, and the silver has nicely patinated with time.

It comes with its original case, in very good condition. The rayon lining is full, the seller name is still readable in gold "G. Zabel" of Berlin; the closure button perfectly works.

A wonderful and rare set to find with its original case!
