RITTERKREUZ NECK RIBBON AND LOOP + EK2

Very nice set of Knight Cross neck ribbon with metallic loop marked "800" for the silver content.
The ribbon shows a heavy patina, it is in worn condition, but still intact. On both ends the ribbon is foldered and sewn and there are two metallic buttons on each side, used to attach the ribbon under the collar of the uniform.
The suspension ring, or loop, is marked "800" for the silver content. On it is attached an Iron Cross 2nd class by a hand made suspension ring. The cross shows a matching patina to the ribbon.
It happened during the war that many Knight Cross recipients replaced their original Knight Cross, especially in the field, with an EK2.
A nice looking set that can fill the empty place of an expensive Knight Cross.
