This cuff title was introduced on October 24, 1944. It was worn by all participants of the Battle of Metz (belonging to the "Kampfgruppe von Siegroth"), as well as by all members of the Infantry Officer Candidates School VI in Meseritz, but only as long as they were assigned to the school.
