CRIMEAN TARTAR VOLUNTEERS ARM PATCH - EXTREMELY RARE!

SOLD!

Exteremely rare arm shield, BeVo made, worn by Crim.ean Tartar volunteers.

In late 1942, the Nazis started forming what they called “national legions” and tried preparing the legionnaires for action against the Soviet Army in a chauvinistic and anti-Soviet fashion.

Rarity of this type of patch can't be overstressed. See for reference vol. 3 of "FOREIGN LEGIONS OF TH THIRD REICH" of D. Litlejohn.

Patch comes from a hoard found in recent days in a country house in north Italy that was a german command.
