WAFFEN-SS EM/NCO VISOR CAP

Issued, field-grey wool blend construction, wonderfully shaped visor cap features a wide, black wool centerband and white wool piping to the top of the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the centerband.
Cap has a very a nice shape with overlapping side panels.
The front center of the cap has a zinc SS eagle and a zinc Totenkopf.
The cap has a glossy, blackened, patent leather, chinstrap with two, black painted, sliding, vertically rectangular, sheet metal, length adjustment buckles. The chinstrap is secured to the cap by two, small, black painted, smooth finish, magnetic sheet metal buttons.
The cap has a extended, forward, black lacquered, vulcanfibre visor with a subtly raised lip near the forward edge and an grey bottom with a repeating cross-hatched pattern.
The interior of the cap is fully lined with a champagne coloured rayon lining. Celluloid sweat diamond is still i place.
Cap is roughly a size 57. Cap shows some wear and an amazing patina; on the sweatband are still visible the shadows of the initials of the owner that were, at some point, removed. Please not the small part of worn down fabric on the front, the small consumption was due to sweat, skin fat.
