Nice quality field-grey doeskin and rayon blend construction visor cap with a subtle whipcord weave, a blue/green badge cloth centerband and blue wool waffenfarbe piping (for Medical troops) to the crown edge and both the top and bottom edges of the centerband.
The internal crown stiffening wire and an internal vertical stiffener to the front center are both intact and give the cap a nice, relaxed, saddle form shape. The front center of the cap features a second pattern, stamped, aluminum national eagle over an aluminium oak-leaf wreath encompassing a three piece national tri-color cockade.
The cap has a lether chin cord which is secured in place by two, small, black washed, alloy buttons. The cap has a black lacquered vulcanfibre visor.
The interior of the cap is fully lined in dark rayon. The crown lining shows the celluloid sweat diamond with the writing: "Kasseler Mützenfabrik / Heinz Schade" and "Vockrodt", that was a distributor located in Kassel. Private purchase Medical visors are even more rare than their officer counterparts.
The visor is in overall in extremely good condition with minimal age and usage toning. A wonderful visor cap.
