Very, very rare blue tropical Luftwaffe EM/NCO overseas cap, body constructed of blue colored ribbed cotton twill, lining of a softer and lighter weight blue cotton, stamped in black ink a squadre with the size 56. The lining has a tear that was fixed up with some stitched made with cotton thread.
The machine embroidered national emblem and padded rosette are hand sewn using blue grey colored cotton thread. The national cockade is the correct type for this cap, made on blue cotton base.
The overseas cap was service worn and shows light age, soiling and minor fading, cap body doens't have any tears or repairs.
A very, very hard to find side cap, that is only seldom offered for sale.
