INFANTRY EM/NCO OVERSEAS CAP

SOLD!

October 1935 pattern (M34), green/field-grey wool/rayon blend construction cap with fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. The cap is missing its original metal ventilation grommets.

The front center of the cap has hand stitched national eagle and national tri-color cockade.

The cap has an inverted "V" white soutache flanking the cockade. The soutache has been applied by hand stitching in place and inserted through two small puncture holes near the bottom edge of the cap.

The interior of the cap is fully lined in ribbed cotton twill. Some tears are visible and some parts are hand sewn. Maker marked and dated for 1939.

A salty, very worn, overseas cap.
