Very interesting book of Hermann Goering " Werk und Mensch" with a glued certificate (on the second page) for "good shooting performance" awarded to SS-Scharführer Wilhelm Macher of the 16 SS Reichsführer Division. This soldier was possibly training as sniper in the Scharfschützen Ausbildungskompanie of Berlin – Wehrkreiskommando I.
The document is signed by the Kompanie commander and was given out during the winter of 1943. The nex year will see the 16 SS Division mostly fighting in Italy.
Indeed a very interesting and rare item, because sniper related items are very hard to find on market.
