WAFFEN-SS (SS-BW) M43 TUNIC

Waffen-SS M43 service blouse for a SS-Schütze, standard issue garment constructed of mid war quality German wool and lined in light grey shades of rayon having an HBT weave, stamped in black ink with SS-BW and size markings, with four pleated patch pockets and adjustable cuffs, five button front, two belt hook support holes per position, grey green painted metal buttons are used for front closure, pocket flaps and to anchor shoulder straps, black plastic buttons are used as cuffs and for bandage pocket.
The matching pair of collar tabs are straight machine stitched, BeVo pattern sleeve eagle is machine zig zag sewn. The matched pair of later issue slip on straps have rayon yellow piping.
The tunic was worn and there are traces of wear and soling; the patina is great.
A difficult to find type.
