A textbook Silver Close Combat Clasp by the famous maker "A.G.M.u.K." of Gablonz.

It is constructed out of a die struck, zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a crossed model 24 grenade and K98 bayonet with oak leaves, acorns and lined rays all beneath a Heer open winged eagle clutching a swastika in its talons. The reverse of the badge correctly displays; the "F.E.C. W.E. Peekhaus Berlin" (left) and "Ausf. A.G.M.u.K. Gablonz" (right) embossed maker marks.

It has the correct tombak crimped catch, hinge and sturdy coke bottle pin. The pin, hinge and catch all work well. The plate is steel and magnetic.

The badge depicts beautiful details throughout and the bronze finish is still partially visible.

An excellent example that you would be proud to own, with the additional value that this badge is published in "UNIFORMI" magazine, the italian militaria magazine. The article is published in the number 57 (September-October 2023).
