LW GROUND ASSAULT BADGE "JUNCKER"

Two piece, die struck zinc alloy, solid backed award is in the form of a vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with separate Luftwaffe eagle superimposed to the top, encompassing a burnished matte grey washed cloud and black lightning bolt and ground. Finish is still partially present and the badge has a very great patina.
It is complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly. The wreath shows (22 o'clock) what could be a period soldering repair.
Eagle is in Buntmetall and fixed to the badge with a rivit.
The reverse is unmarked but the badge is a "Juncker" production.
