KUBANKA FOR TEREK COSSACKS

Kubanka for Terek Cossacks, having a body of field grey wool, lined in quilted grey colored cotton, cap is unmarked but approx size 56-57.
The cylindrical part of the headdress is in typical feldgrau wool and is surrounded with dark lamb fleece; the top panel is blue wool and it is criss crossed with two lengths of dress style metallic NCO tresse which are straight machine stitched, a silvered aluminium Heer cap eagle and a bullion made Heer cap cockade are attached to the cap's front.
Condition is excellent, cap shows minor usage and a nice patina.
A rare hat to find.
