This is an extremely well-preserved Schutzpolizei officer’s visor cap, constructed of smooth field-grey wool with a very dark brown wool cap band. The cap features three bands of woven, green piping at the top, middle, and bottom. Pinned into the peak is a silvered and blackened aluminum cockade with red felt centre, measuring 22 mm in diameter. The cap band features the classic Polizei style insigna badge, constructed of aluminum, depicting a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, surrounded by an oval oak leaf wreath.

The cap is flanked by two silver pebbled buttons holding in place a braided silver aluminum bullion wire chinstrap, itself ornately knotted on both ends and resting upon the visor.

The visor is constructed of lacquered vulcanfibre, with a black exterior and tan interior. The cap features a brown sweatband covering the circumference of the interior, securely held in place by machine stitching. Interior lining is complete, made of light-brown rayon.

The cap is in an extremely fine condition; a scarce visor cap to find nowdays and very hard to upgrade.
