LUFTWAFFE OFFICER OVERSEAS CAP

Luftwaffe blue/grey, wool/rayon blend construction cap features fold down side and back panels with gently sloping, downward scallops to the front and forward sides. The front center of the cap has a machine embroidered, second pattern, Luftwaffe eagle in pale silvery/grey cotton threads mounted on a cut-out, blue/grey, wool base and the front center of the fold down panels has a machine embroidered, national tri-color cockade in black, white and red rayon threads. Both the eagle and the cockade are neatly handstitched in place. The interior of the cap is fully lined in blue/grey rayon.
Silver aluminium waffenfarbe is factory applied, original to the cap. Leather inside is in perfect conditions and still soft.
A near mint overseas cap. No tears, no holes, it just shows a minor usage and a very nice patina.
